Alex really enjoys making people feel welcome and appreciated, he shares a passion for delicious food and unforgettable dining experiences. Alex is proud of the originality of Abajo’s concept. The use of Colombian ingredients had a very nostalgic effect on Alex which was one of the main reasons why he joined the team! “I have been lucky enough to be part of some great restaurants in London and Dubai, but being part of the team feels like a full circle that resonates with the Colombian roots I know and love.”

Miller’s family farm played a huge part in guiding Miller’s passion for food produce and cooking. Socialising and gathering over sharing style meals was at the heart of Miller’s home. Being from a Latino family, eating and drinking was the focal point throughout his childhood. Miller is passionate about food, culture and people.
Moris Moreno
Moris Moreno
Starting as a cook at 15, Moris’ first role in a restaurant was at La Cigale in Bogotá, where he applied his classical cooking knowledge. A BBVA 50 Best finalist, he was recruited by Leo, progressing from prep cook to sous chef. During the pandemic, he worked at Celele in Cartagena, before returning to Leo where he became a creative and research chef, delving into experimental processes. A Latin American finalist in the Sanpellegrino Young Chef competition, he has cooked at national and international events.
